Clinical Care Associate (CCC) - Long Term Acute Care (LTAC)

Job Description:

Summary:

The Clinical Care Associate performs basic patient care activities to long term care patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with treatments ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
  • Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Assures resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations and initiates corrective action as appropriate.
  • Assists with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
  • Timely and efficient completion of these tasks is required for quality patient care. Must be able to work effectively as a team member in the delivery of care.
  • Must be able to successfully complete orientation/training programs for the position as evidenced by completion of competencies.
  • The practice of professional nursing is the systematic application of specialized knowledge and skill, derived from the biological, physical, and behavioral sciences to the care, treatment, counsel and health teaching of individuals who are experiencing changes in normal health processes or who require assistance in the maintenance of health and the prevention of management of illness, injury, or disability and demonstrates this through the application of the Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Standards of Professional Performance defined by the American Nurses Association.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Minimum of six months experience in direct patient care exhibiting a variety of work routines and problem solving abilities preferred.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
